Shih Hsin University has ranked 1st among all private universities for enterprise’ favorite graduate students in a 2017 poll done by Cheers Magazine. This is the first survey hosted by Cheers Magazine for the evaluation of graduate students of universities. 2000 HR supervisors of big corporations were invited in the questionnaires survey, of which recovery rate is 44.53%. This survey is the Taiwan’s largest research institute ranking survey.
The survey results show besides national comprehensive universities (Taiwan University, National Tsing Hua University, National Chiao Tung University, National Cheng Kung University and National Chengchi University), the old private universities are also well recognized by enterprises. The Chairman of Shih Hsin University Cheng-Hu Chow thinks that Shih Hsin’s overall strategy is clear, and the in-depth fields, such as communications, administrative management and tourism have outstanding performance and are appreciated by enterprises so that Shih Hsin can stand out from the survey.
The President Wu said that Shih Hsin ranks the top 8 among all the universities and ranked the top among private universities. This demonstrates that Shih Hsin’s education policy of “combining theory with practice” is deeply imprinted on the mind of the enterprise, and I am proud of the excellent performance of Shih Hsin’s students, and I also thank support and affirmation of the alumni in various industries. The Vice President Ching-ho Chen said Shih Hsin is a teaching university, and we attach importance to “interdisciplinary talents” and cultivate students with the curriculum design in which communication course is provided in all disciplines and concept of teaching research, and ensure teaching design meets business needs and conforms to the current trend of interdisciplinary talents.
