History of Western Civilization

This course is to guide students to understand the idea of humanism in modern times, political thoughts and popular culture in order to know more about the development of world history and culture. It is also designed to acquaint students with major literary figures and genres as well as important historical, philosophical, and literary works interacting with dominant ideologies or cultural ideas of the time.
