Applied Public Speaking

The Applied Public Speaking is an English-lecture course. The purpose of this course is to introduce basic theories and patterns of public communication, as well as to further develop students’ public speaking skills by using English. Therefore, students have to learn the techniques of invention (developing and refining the arguments), arrangement (organizing the structure of a speech), style (applying different rhetorical skills to present the arguments), memory (learning and memorizing a speech), and delivery (using gestures, pronunciation, and tone of voice to deliver a speech).
