American Literature after 1865

The main purpose of this course is to introduce works after 1865 in American literature. Authors like Twain, Gilman, Wharton, Crane, London, Cather, Frost, Pound, Eliot, O’Neill, Fitzgerald, Faulkner, Hemingway, Steinbeck, and others will be examined, to bring in all the current issues in their works. This will facilitate learning about the changes in society, religion, politics, and economic changes in the States during that period.
