Cheng She-Wo Institute for Chinese Journalism was founded in August, 2006.
Cheng She-Wo Institute for Chinese Journalism was founded in August, 2006, with two divisions: University Archives Division and She-Wo Research Center. University Archives Division takes charge of collecting and planning the exhibitions of Shih Hsin University Archives and Mr. Cheng She-Wo’s related historical documents. The Division restores the She-Wo Journalism Digital Collection Database and provides guided tours. She-Wo Research Center offers full-time researcher positions to conduct studies of news communication history. It also holds forums and conferences regularly to promote international scholarly exchanges among industry-academicians. Further, Cheng She-Wo Institute publishes, together with Shih Hsin College of Journalism and Communications, Journal of Communication Research and Practice, a forum for researchers and practical workers in this field.
