Department of Business Administration
Established in 2005, the department is committed to educating professional business administrators with global insights. Both BBA and MBA programs are offered, and an offshore program in Shanghai is available for mid-level rank managers running Taiwanese businesses in China, coaching them on management knowhow, skills and better venture planning, and grooming them into becoming professional administrators. Professionalism and diversity are at the core of our curricular design. "Chinese Business Management" and "Innovation and Entrepreneurship" constitute the program's two focuses. Our program marries the fundamentals with focal modules in hopes of nurturing professional managers who are creative, enterprising, and sensitive to global market trending. Other than rigorous and scientifically-based trainings, the curricular design embraces the art of management, to nurture "management gurus among professional managers, and veteran managers among management professionals." Moreover, the department initiates many workshops, graced by experts and scholars representing the industry to provide mentorship and give keynote speeches. What's more, the department has established industrial/academic partnerships with many heavy hitters in the business to set up internships. Besides advanced studies, graduates can be employed in state-run firms, privately-operated corporations, foreign companies, or Taiwan-based offshore companies.
