Introduction

The Department of Finance was established in 1985 to fulfill the demand for highly-trained finance, investment, and financial marketing specialists. The department aims to equip students with the analytical and quantitative skills and theoretical knowledge in finance.

Program Features

The undergraduate program emphasizes on four areas of specialization: corporate finance, financial institutions, portfolio management, and digital and quantitative financial marketing. Students receive thorough training in both the theory and practice of finance through courses that combine knowledge with an intensive exposure to data analysis, software applications, digital and social network communication skills, and financial ethics.

The MBA and Executive MBA programs are built on four pillars: wealth management and financial marketing, data analysis with Excel/VBA and open source tools, financial social network marketing, and financial analysis and ethics. Students learn not only from faculty members engaged in a broad program of research, but also from professionals in diversified fields as co-teachers who bring the intelligence of practical financial experience to instill in students an ability to resolve the financial and ethical issues.

Career Prospects

Graduates excel in a wide variety of jobs at corporations, banks, securities firms, financial institutions and government department, while others have further pursued advanced studies locally and overseas.
