The Office of Physical Education is responsible for planning and delivering physical education courses and other related events on and off-campus. Training the university’s athletic teams and recruiting athletic talents for enrollment are its other major roles. It also manages the university’s athletic fields and gym.
Courses in the first year focus on basic physical training and testing, as well as fundamentals in a variety of sports. In the second year, students choose courses according to their own interest from a total of 22 different classes. Physical education is an elective course in the third and fourth years, providing one credit respectively.
The university’s athletic events include a campus-wide athletic meet, a cheer-leading contest, Freshman Cup and Inter-Departmental Cup sports competitions. The office also oversees the university’s physical tests and operates an exercise club.
